B9 Energy F1 Car Reaches National Final

Whilst B9 has a presence across Great Britain and Ireland its heart is in Larne in Country Antrim. This is where the company was founded and where its head office is still located. Our local connections are important to us which is why we recently sponsored Bobbie Creighton (daughter of George Creighton) and some of her classmates at Linn Primary School in Larne and their entry into the Formula 1 in Primary Schools competition which involves schools from across the UK. The team is called Alpha F1.

Bobbie is the team’s Resource Manager which involved raising funds for the team – and very persuasive she was too.

The regional finals were held last week and Alpha F1 ran out winners in the face of competition from 22 teams from across Northern Ireland, which means they now move on to the National finals at the NEC in Birmingham on March 11 – the Finals will be broadcast live on YouTube. This is very exciting for a group of 10 year olds and a fantastic achievement.

All of us at B9 wish Bobbie and the team the very best of luck in Birmingham.
